Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road (ADR)

The Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road (ADR) certification course will provide delegates with the skills and knowledge required to correctly handle and prepare shipments of dangerous goods for transport by road.


The ADR details the functional training requirements for all employees who handle or process dangerous goods shipments. Our training covers all job roles from shippers, freight forwarder through to road hauliers.


Successful candidates receive a certificate of competence, valid for two years. We recommend that all students refresh their knowledge every two years to be in line with the current ADR regulations.

• Correctly prepare a consignment of dangerous goods for road transportation
• Validate whether a consignment has been prepared correctly for road transportation
• Adhere to practices and standards regarding acceptance and responsibilities for the preparation and handling of goods for road transportation.

• Excepted Quantities

• Package Specification and testing
• Marking and labelling

• Documentation – completion of the dangerous goods note
• Vehicle and container placarding
• Driver requirements
• Tunnel codes

Our Dangerous Goods by Road training is for employees that are engaged in the handling and shipping of dangerous goods by Road. The training ensures that candidates meet the requirements of the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road (ADR) regulations and concludes with a validation test. Successful candidates receive a certificate of competence, valid for two years, after which they must re-validate their qualification.
