Incoterms 2010

Incoterms® are recognized in international trade as an essential part of a sales contract between the buyer and the seller of goods. Both parties must understand what they are agreeing to under each Incoterm®.
Incotems® were developed in 1936 by the International Chamber of Commerce to bring logic and consistency to differing commercial and judicial systems across the world. As the world is ever-changing and the security requirements grow ever tighter the Incoterms® are refreshed to keep up with the demands within the supply chain.
Failure to use the terms correctly places your business at risk not just within the United Kingdom but also in countries where you may sell goods.
This 1-day training is designed to help participants understand:
• Introduction to Incoterms – What they are, what does it clarify, how widely is it used and how may we apply the Incoterms?
• Structure and layout – Reading the terms to your advantage
• Identify the point(s) where the obligation of carriage, risk and costs transfer
• The 11 Incoterms® 2010
• Incoterms® and the Mode of Transport
• Common misconceptions
• Legal Implications of incorrectly using an Incoterms®2010
Logicom Incoterms® 2010 desk chart will be provided as part of the class.
